There were noises coming from the rocks.
She ignored the sounds & sat on the concrete stoop.
She tried to that is. The pain in her back kept her from sitting too long. She tried hard not to concentrate on the pain. She thought it'd be a good idea to get on her roof.
Solitude would keep her thoughts uninterrupted.
She soon laid on the roof almost wincing in pain as the pain in her back increased. Pretty soon her vision went blurry & all that was visible were the stars. She peered at them as her tears being to weld in her eyes.
She closed her eyes tight & the stars lingered in her sight. Gazing at the brightest one she whispered to herself....
"Star light,star bright..."
It became to painful to continue so she finished the ryhme in her thoughts.
Curled into a ball she laid in silence. Before she could decide her next move she felt a sharp pain shoot through her right shoulder blade. She let out a howl that was almost inhuman.
Moving her hand slowly touching her shoulder she nearly passed out of the sight of blood & flesh that appeared in her tiny hand. She closed her eyes tighter.
Another sharp pain shot through her left shoulder & she almost begin to pray until she noticed the tiniest piece of white pillowly substance that rested next to her. She marveled at the sight. She almost pondered what it was before coming to the realization that it was a feather. Before long she was surronded by small pieces of fluffy,white,matter.
The pain in her back subsided & she stood up only to be paralyzed again by her shadow.
The image was the same as always except this time,there were new additions.
She closed her eyes & sighed in elation.
Years of wishing had finally paid off.
She stood up again,this time with more strength & looked to the sky.
"Thank-you." She whispered.
She then slowly walked to the edge of her roof walking slowly she took off running full speed.
She felt the wind in her hair & on her face.
She took a leap off her roof as her new devices carried her off to the stars.
